Upcoming Dates and Events

March 8 Den Meetings Cancelled
The Tuesday, March 8, Cub Scout Den meeting is cancelled so the leaders of the Pack can attend the District Round Table meeting where summer camp will be discussed.  This is an important meeting for leaders to attend so we can provide timely and important information to the boys and their families.  We appreciate your understanding.


Zoo Adventures Overnight at Woodland Park Zoo... APRIL 6-7, 2012
Boys who wish to attend Zoo Adventures Overnight at the Woodland Park Zoo need to bring payment to the next Den meeting.  The cost is $48.00 per person.  Parents are welcome to attend, but they must pay the $48.00 per person fee as well.

Pacific Science Center Camp-In... APRIL 27-28, 2012

This is a reminder that our Blue and Gold Banquet on Thursday, February 23 will begin one hour early.  The Banquet will run from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Webelos Fun Night

Troop 401 will hold a Weblos Fun night on Tuesday Feruary 21st from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.

It will be held at First United Methodist Church on E Main in Auburn. 
100 N St SE, Auburn, WA 98001

There will be demonstrations, displays, fun and snacks.  There will be a number of stations for Webelos scouts to actively participate in and displays for them to view.

While your scouts are having fun, there will be a parent meeting to discuss planning for Troop 401's upcoming Webelo activities.

This is open to Weblos I and II and parents.

Preparing for the Blue and Gold Banquet

This week, Pack 450 Cub Scouts will begin preparations for the 2012 Blue and Gold Banquet.  The banquet is scheduled for February 23.  PLEASE NOTE, the evening of the Blue and Gold Banquet, we will be starting one hour earlier to provide plenty of time for skits, awards and visiting.  Please arrive at 6:00 pm the evening of the Blue and Gold Banquet.

AWARDS
Parents, we would like to award as many awards as possible at the Blue and Gold Banquet.  If your child has not yet earned his Bobcat badge, we would like to encourage you to help him earn it prior to the banquet.  If your child is close to earning any beads (Tiger, Wolf, and Bear), we'd like to encourage you to help him earn those, as well.  Webelos - let's see if we can complete an activity pin, too.

DECORATIONS
Each Den will be making place holders for each boy.  This will be in the form of a name card, place mat or some other place holder.  The place holders will help identify where each boy and his family will be sitting.

The Webelos Den will be making centerpieces during their den meeting(s).

DEN FLAGS
Each Den will be creating a Den flag.  These new flags will make their debut at the Blue and Gold Banquet.

FOOD and BANQUET SUPPLIES
This year, the Blue and Gold banquet will be a potluck.  Please let us know what you would like to bring.  We will have a sign-up sheet at the next two Den meetings.  Please provide one item for each child that you have enrolled in Cub Scouts.

And the Winners are...

Congratulations to ALL boys of Pack 450!  The cars you built for the 2012 Pinewood Derby were awesome.  Each one of you is a winner.  Thank you for doing your best.

We'd like to congratulate our Overall winners from the 2012 Pinewood Derby.  On February 2, 2012, these boys won First Place for their Cub Scout Den and then competed to win the Overall category.  Congratulations boys!
